Shiso is the Japanese name for perilla, a herb that is widely used in Asian cuisine as well as traditional Chinese medicine due to its incredible helth benefits. Shiso seeds are sourced from the province of Mae Hong Son, which is known to produce the best shiso in Thailand.
Midly toasting give a crunch & peppery aftertaste, reminiscent of pan-roasted nuts.
